We would like to give a warm welcome to Uniform Exchange Community Recyclers. We are proud to have them as a tenant at Railway Sawmills. Here is just a part of what they do.
School uniform grants across the UK have been reduced, leaving many families without help. Uniform Exchange are a group of Huddersfield mums that want to do their best to help those in our community. In partnership with Local Sure Start Childrenʼs Centres, Kirklees Libraries, and with support from Kirklees Council, they collect unwanted uniforms, and get them to the children who need them the most, Free of charge!!
For full details please visit their website. http://www.uniform-exchange.org/
It is proved that the views and connection the children have with the environment is genuinely inspirational for the children. It’s important to have an environment that can inspire and motivate their young minds. Our Eco classroom and building designs encourage environmental citizenship, educational play and help connect students with outdoor learning and nature.
Our flexible approach to your modular building means your school building is designed for your space which will allow your building to grow as you do.
Today, modular buildings are more than just a temporary construction and portable classrooms. There are so many uses for modular building solutions – from permanent housing both remote and urban to retail space and industrial site offices or special event requirements.
Modern modular buildings perform and look as good as traditional structures and can be designed to blend with their natural surroundings.
Modular buildings are easy to relocate, allowing you to move and reuse them and also be renovated to accommodate your future requirements. Modular buildings are ideal for both temporary and permanent requirements and are often used as office accommodation, schools, classrooms, recreational facilities and many more.
Time & cost savings
Modular buildings are easily transported to site for installation. This process saves both time and money because site preparation occurs while the buildings are being manufactured.
We are delighted to welcome a new tenant to our site at Railway Sawmills in Lockwood Huddersfield.

Last month our two teams of walkers set off to conquer the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge raising funds for the Huddersfield Town Foundation. In total there were 74 participants and one dog who completed the challenge within the 12 hour target.
In the lead up to the event our two teams were given the task of raising sponsorship for The Foundation. Our sponsorship target was to reach a total of £2,000 which was easily achieved prior to the challenge.
Surprisingly, once the challenge was completed we continued to receive donations which took us well above our target. In total now, we have raised £3,000 which we are completely overwhelmed at. We would like to thank all the businesses, friends and families that have donated towards achieving this milestone.
The £3,000 that we raised has contributed towards the final total of the Three Peaks Challenge of a whopping £22,000! What an incredible achievement! The funds will go towards the Town Foundation’s aim of improving the lives of children and young people across the region through innovative projects such as the ‘Early Kick-Off’ Breakfast Clubs.
We hope to continue to support The Huddersfield Town Foundation at further events as they do such fantastic work in the community.
On Friday 12th June 2015 we took two teams to North Yorkshire to take on the challenge of the Yorkshire 3 peaks in order to raise money for the Huddersfield Town Foundation charity. We set off to North Yorkshire at 04:45am to arrive for registration at 07:00am in Horton in Ribblesdale. We set off at 07:30am in the sunshine guided by Kuta Outdoors and we tackled the first peak of Pen-Y Ghent and then on to Ribblehead where the second peak of Whernside waited us. From the top of Whernside we enjoyed views all the way to the East coast while working our way down the other side and taking in the site of the third peak of Ingleborough.
We had a deadline of twelve hours to complete the challenge of the 3 peaks which is a distance of 24.5 miles and the Eurolink teams came in at just under Eleven hours. Without the guidance of Kuta Outdoors and the invaluable support of the Town Foundation providing us with much needed refreshments along the way this would not have been achievable. We aimed to raise £2000 for the Town Foundation charity and we managed to exceed that thanks to the support of all our sponsors.
These fundraising events help to provided a unique opportunity for the children, their siblings and families in our community to enjoy a free of charge, rare treat, which many seldom have the chance to enjoy. They are taken on days out that offer an experience and memories, which wouldn’t have been possible without the financial backing raised through initiatives like this.
A great big thank you goes out to all who sponsored us and thank you to all our staff who took part in the challenge.
Well done Team Eurolink!!!

Eurolink’s charity Fundraiser for the Town Foundation will be to take part in the Yorkshire 3 peaks challenge on Friday 12th June 2015.
Our aim is to raise £2,000 and our training has started in order to ensure we complete this challenge by taking the D out of Fundraising!
The Town Foundation was officially launched in July 2012 by its brainchild, Huddersfield Town Chairman, Dean Hoyle. The launch of the Foundation followed previous initiatives by the club designed to benefit youngsters across the community.
Hoyle, backed by local businesses like ourselves and individuals alike, had already taken a cumulative total of almost 2,000 local children to the Club’s two Play-Off Final games at Manchester’s Old Trafford in May 2011, and the iconic Wembley Stadium in May 2012, to watch Huddersfield Town in action on the big stage.
These trips provided a unique opportunity for the children, their siblings and families to enjoy a free of charge, rare treat, which many seldom have the chance to enjoy. The days out offered an experience and memories, which wouldn’t have been possible without the financial backing raised through initiative such as a bike ride from Huddersfield to Wembley in the week leading up to the 2012 game.
Please log on to our Just Giving page to make your donation at www.justgiving.com/Eurolink-Construction. Please feel free to follow the progress of our training via our Facebook or Twitter pages.
